Israel Solidarity Trip
Last Chance for Israel Solidarity Trip
We have an incredible itinerary planned for the Solidarity Trip, but we need 5 more people to get on board to make this happen! If you want to participate in this mission you MUST call Rabbi Budow at (215) 584-7919 by November 25, 2015. If we do not have enough people signed up by then we will not be able to offer this opportunity to our community.
The cost of the trip is $1650 per person. This price is based on two people in a room and includes all transfers, transportation ( including airfare and buses to and from airport), hotel accommodations, a professional tour guide, the religious guidance of Rabbi Leizerowski, Shabbat meals, a daily Israeli breakfast, and tours of important Israeli sites. We will depart the U.S. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 arriving in Israel on Friday, January 8, 2016. We leave Israel on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 and return to the U.S. on Thursday, January 14, 2016.
The itinerary includes visiting the Temple Mount with Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute, touring the Old City, Shabbat services at the Great Synagogue, a visit to the Knesset (including a meeting with Knesset member and former Ambassador, Michael Oren),Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea, and the tomb of Rachel and Hebron (with the protection of the Israeli Army), and much more!! * Please note- the itinerary may be affected by security issues. Be assured that safety is a primary concern for our group, and we will adjust our plans accordingly.
Alumni and students who need financial aid will get top priority to receive stipends of $500 towards their trips. If there are adults who also need financial assistance, we will try to accommodate them with $500 stipends if there is any remaining funding.
Rabbi Ira Budow

Ron Halevi was a recreational kayaker before becoming an IDF solider and losing his leg fighting in Operation Protective Edge. After rehab he was fitted for a prosthetic leg and soon began walking again. Within 6 months he began wearing a prosthetic leg that can be used in water, and he began kayaking in competition regularly. In August, 2015 he competed at the world championships for competitive kayaking. He will talk to the Middle School students about his experiences and his inspirational life story.

Boxes are located in the lunchroom
Please be mindful of others and refrain from emailing, calling, or texting teachers and administrators on Shabbat or Jewish holidays.
Although we are always happy to welcome alumni back to AHA, these impromptu visits can be disruptive to classes. Please do not bring alumni to school on days when the they are on vacation but Abrams is in session.
Please label your children’s lunch boxes and coats with their names so that these items can be identified if they are misplaced at school.
All parents should use the front door to enter the school with key cards and not the back doors. Parent swipe cards only work at front door.
Please do not ask students to open any doors- parents must report to the front office and check-in before entering the school.
No student or other person should use the lunchroom doors other than for dismissal or emergency purposes.
These rules are for our children’s safety.
Thank you for your cooperation!
