8th Grade and Abrams Residence Seniors
Abrams 8th grade students visited seniors at the Abrams Residence to celebrate Chanukah. AHA students and seniors decorated Chanukah mugs, ate Sufganiot, sang Chanukah songs, and shared time and stories with one another.
The visit was part of the “Better Together” program funded by a grant from the Legacy Heritage Fund to provide opportunities for students to interact with the elderly and engage in meaningful dialogue.
A great time was had by all- Happy Chanukah!
Menorah Contest
Abrams students created their artistic interpretations of Menorahs for the AHA annual Menorah contest!
The next unit in our AHA/Technion middle school curriculum is Chemistry, and it will begin when school resumes in January.
Orit Hazzan, our colleague at Technion, will be speaking at this year’s National Day School Conference in Philadelphia this year: Technion STEM Education: How to Deliver Successful and Sustainable Implementation.

Please note that the car pool line is for grades N and K only. All other students are to be dropped off in the front of the building.
Parents who use the back for drop off should follow the directions of the teachers in the parking lot. They are there to assist students and maintain a safe environment.
Under no circumstances are parents to park their cars in the middle of the line and leave them unattended to walk students into the building.
** We ask that parents refrain from cellphone use in the parking areas while dropping off and picking up their children.
