For the past two weeks Abrams students’ attention was focused on election season. Posters papered hallway walls, candidates campaigned feverishly. On Monday afternoon, November 10th, the 4th-8th grade student body gathered to hear wonderful speeches delivered by the candidates.
Every candidate gave it his/her all, putting tremendous drive and enthusiasm into the races. They should all be congratulated for their effort.

Special Program with IDF Soldiers
Special Presentation by IDF Officers
Thursday, December 11, 2014
5:00 pm-7:00 pm
Abrams is happy to present a very special and unique opportunity for our students and AHA families to attend a presentation by a special delegation of IDF officers who served most recently in the conflict in Gaza, Operation Suk Eitan.
The officers will describe the conflict faced by Israel this summer, discussing the conflicts of soldiers in the battlefield and the struggle Israel continues to face in world opinion.
These brave soldiers represent all aspects of the Israeli military including ground forces, air force and the Israeli navy. They have all been awarded symbols of recognition of valor in battle, risking their lives to save others and making critical decisions under fire to organize and succeed in intense battles.
*Attendance by 7th and 8th grade students is mandatory. Students will share a light dinner with the soldiers at 5 pm, followed by a presentation by the IDF officers.
The presentation is open to the entire AHA community.
**Parents must arrange to pick up their children promptly at 7:00 pm!
Connect in a Flash-Jewish
Abrams students are invited to “Like” the site “Connect in a Flash-Jewish” on Facebook and participate in themed photography with other Jewish teens from around the world.
Connect in a Flash is an on-line site created by Peri Feldstein, a Princeton high school student, to enable Jewish teens to share photos, Jewish experiences, and friendship no matter where they live.
All parents should use the front door to enter the school with key cards and not the back doors. Parent swipe cards only work at front door.
Please do not ask students to open any doors- parents must report to the front office and check-in before entering the school.
No student or other person should use the lunchroom doors other than for dismissal or emergency purposes.
These rules are for our children’s safety.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Car Pool Rules
All Parents who Car Pool:
Please note that the car pool line is for grades N and K only. All other students are to be dropped off in the front of the building.
Parents who use the back for drop off should follow the directions of the teachers in the parking lot. They are there to assist students and maintain a safe environment.
Under no circumstances are parents to park their cars in the middle of the line and leave them unattended to walk students into the building.
** We ask that parents refrain from cellphone use in the parking areas while dropping off and picking up their children.
