Abrams Hebrew Academy and The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology partnering

Abrams Hebrew Academy is pleased to announce the launch of a unique collaborative science program with The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Professor Orit Hazzan, Head of the Department of Education in Science and Technology Technion City, Haifa, Israel, will meet with Abrams representatives and tour the school on January 17, 2013 to discuss plans for the exciting new science program scheduled to launch at Abrams in the fall of 2013.

The critical shortage of individuals pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) has resulted in fewer teachers trained to interest the younger generation in these fields of study. Abrams and Technion are partnering to create an innovative and unique program that will present Abrams middle school students with long-distance learning opportunities in science taught by Technion instructors. This is a pilot program created specifically for Abrams Hebrew Academy, and Abrams is proud to be at the forefront of this ground-breaking learning initiative alongside the prestigious Technion Institute.

Abrams Hebrew Academy is a co-educational community Hebrew day school for preschool through eighth grade.
