You could see cooperative learning going on between the secular first and third grade classes. The third graders presented their booktalks to the first graders. The goal of the booktalk was to try and convince the first graders to want to read the books that they were reviewing. Were they successful? Let’s wait and ask our librarian if there is a demand for these books. The most popular books reviewed were Cam Janesen and the Magic Tree House Series.
