Hey Abrams!
We are on the bus having just left Maarat Hamachpela. In Maarat Hamachpela we saw the graves of our ancestors and got to daven Hallel. Afterwards we got an armed escort to walk through the Jewish community at Chevron. We saw an old shul that Avraham visited in 1062. Enjoy your ERBs.

Today we had graduation on the top of the kotel. Not many people in israel get to go on the top of the kotel. We got our diplomas from rabbi Budow, rabbi Leizerowski, and mrs. Kornsgold. Then we had lunch in the old city at a burger restaurant. After that we went to the Begin museum where we learned about the first prime minister of Israel and had a imitation Knesset meeting. At the Knesset meeting we imitated the role of the Knesset members.

Today was an awesome day!! this morning I woke up at 5:15 to get ready for graduation. We graduated from the top of the kotel. The view was AMAZING!! I could see the whole plaza and the Temple Mount itself. Graduation was the best moment of my life so far! Getting my diploma from the top of the kotel was very meaningful and I will treasure those memories forever. This afternoon we went to the Menachem Beigin museum. The first activity was recreating the way that the Knesset passes laws. The whole experience was really fun. I got to be one of the corridor people. What corridor people do is they make a compromise that benefits both sides of an argument when making a law. From this particular experience I learned that I don’t want to be politician! After we all had come to an agreement and our law was passed we went to the Menachem Beigin museum. Israeli museums are the best! They incorporate short films and brief explanations so to avoid the usual boring museum tour. After we ate dinner we went to Ben Yehuda street. This trip has been the best trip I have ever been on and I don’t want it to end! I miss everyone and I send my brachot for the holy land! I’ll see everyone soon!

Israel has been amazing so far, it is so sad it’s coming to an end! Today we went to the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind. We saw and played with the guide dogs (I played with Nils and Pongo), their obstacle course and where they are trained. We also saw the puppy’s that will be trained to be guide dogs, they were so cute! We just left the Azrieli Mall and are driving back to the hotel now. We had such a fun day.

Last night we went to sleep early and got a good nights sleep. This morning we went to the Palmach Museum. There we learned
about what the Palmach, the secret Israeli army, did. We took a trip back in time and sat in on the experiences of a group of the Palmach. It was very interesting and felt real, we had a lot of fun! After that we went to the Ayalon Institute (bullet factory) and got to see the secret bullet factory. We learned how they used secret passages to hide the production of the bullets for the Palmach. Now were going off to see the seeing eye dogs, this has been an educational and fun day!

Today we all had to wake up at 4am to start off our long and hot day with Masada. There we toured the ruins of Herod’s great castle and then walked down the long snake path, a total of 924 steps. I counted. From there we went to the refreshing pools of Ein Gedi where we swam and cooled off after Masada. Then we traveled to the Dead Sea where we experienced the stinging but healing of the water and enjoyed calmly floating in the salty sea. Many of us covered our bodies with the black mud of the Dead Sea and washed it off to experience some more loved stinging. Now as we are on our way to Tel Aviv, ready to enjoy the rest of our amazing trip after our last visit which made us all feel “20 years younger”…however that works for us.

What an exhausting day! Today we went to the Dead Sea and had lots of fun!! After walking about half a mile from from bus to the shore we got to swim in the Dead Sea and covered our bodies with mud. But their was one issue it BURNED and running into the Dead Sea made it even worse but it’s really healthy. After climbing Masada, hiking in ein getti, swimming in the Dead Sea, and waking up at 4AM from the bedwin tents it was an amazing day. Now we are exhausted and on the bus sleeping we have another half a day of fun to come up and can’t wait to enjoy these lasts days with my friends. – Mattan Ben Abou
