I continue to be so impressed with and grateful for my students’ ability to adapt to this new platform of learning. Despite its difficulties, there is a silver lining in all this. I see huge growth in the independence, maturity and self-discipline of all my students. They should be proud of themselves.
Using Google Docs, students can share documents with me and receive suggestions in return. More importantly, we can discuss the essay together and the student can make revisions that I can see in real time. This one-on-one conferencing is imperative while students hone their writing skills. While I certainly rather see your kids at school, it’s wonderful to have the time together on Zoom.
