Class of 2026 Israel Trip
On Day 1 in Israel, the eighth graders engaged in activities that allowed them to delve into the stories and significance of this remarkable region. They began by learning about the historical importance of the road to Jerusalem, which set the stage for the rest of their journey.
Their exploration continued with a tour of the Old City, where the vibrant sights and sounds brought history to life. They visited the City of David, an archaeological treasure trove, and courageously explored the ancient water tunnels that have withstood the test of time.
The day culminated at the Kotel, or Western Wall, a site of deep spiritual significance for many. Standing before this ancient wall, the students reflected on the resilience and faith that have characterized Jerusalem throughout the ages, embodying the enduring spirit of a city that remains a focal point of hope and connection amid uncertainty.

On Day 2 in Israel, the eighth graders explored Gush Etzion to learn about the kibbutz’s significant history prior to the War of Independence. Their visit included a jeep tour of the region, a prayer at the Cave of Machpelah, and attending the wedding of Rabbi Leizerowski’s brother.

After a meaningful start to the day with heartfelt prayers, the eighth graders embarked on a journey south to Sderot. There, they experienced a poignant tour that deepened their understanding of the region’s resilience, culminating in a visit to the Nova Memorial, honoring the sacrifices made in the face of adversity.

What an unforgettable experience relaxing on Shabbat in Jerusalem, enjoying free time on Ben Yehuda Street, hiking through the breathtaking beauty of Ein Gedi, riding camels through the desert, and spending the night in authentic Bedouin tents. Our eighth-grade students conquered Masada at sunrise and ended it all floating in the incredible Dead Sea. Memories to last a lifetime!
The eighth graders are having a fantastic time exploring the beauty of the sea, splashing in the pool, and gliding across the ice. Each activity offers them a chance to create lasting memories and strengthen friendships on their trip of a lifetime.
