The middle schoolers celebrated Yom Yerushalayim. This day commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem which took place in 1967, during the Six-Day War. The students watched actual amazing footage of the Israeli Paratroopers excitedly proclaiming, “The Temple Mount is in our hands” and another couple of videos that talk about and show how this day is celebrated in Jerusalem.
The highlight of the program was the students having the opportunity to watch a video/slideshow of this year’s eighth grade from their recent trip. The eighth graders were then called up to talk about their meaningful experiences in Jerusalem.
