Security Measures Update
Abrams has reached out to other day schools and public schools to discuss their security programs, and we have met with two independent consultants about performing a new security assessment for Abrams. We are currently waiting to hear from one more possible provider and will make a decision shortly. The security issue will be discussed at the board meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, and we will keep our families informed as decisions are made.
Be assured that our children’s safety is of paramount importance to Abrams, and we do have a security plan already in place. We will continue to do everything possible to ensure that our school is as safe as we can possibly make it, including implementing enhancements if necessary.

Proceeds from the Magic Show benefit the Arlene Sharlin Memorial Scholarship Fund, a fund that provides college scholarship aid to a Trenton high school graduate who plans to teach in the Trenton school district upon completion of her/his education degree.

Register for a morning, afternoon or evening shift or stay for all three; phoning will take place between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
There will be free child care and children’s programming all day, and a community fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for all to enjoy.
**Busing will be available leaving from AHA- contact 215-832-0630 for information.
Please note that the car pool line is for grades N and K only. All other students are to be dropped off in the front of the building.
Parents who use the back for drop off should follow the directions of the teachers in the parking lot. They are there to assist students and maintain a safe environment.
Under no circumstances are parents to park their cars in the middle of the line and leave them unattended to walk students into the building.
** We ask that parents refrain from cellphone use in the parking areas while dropping off and picking up their children.

Birthday Celebrations at School
When sending birthday treats into school to celebrate that special day for your child, please consider sending in a healthy treat, such as frozen fruit bars, rice cakes, fruit salad or cups, sugar free pudding snacks, yogurt cake or pie, cheese sticks, light popcorn or air popped popcorn (when age appropriate), pretzels, carrots/celery (when age appropriate).Please avoid nuts because of allergies.
In order to maintain a consistent kashrut policy and to avoid confusion, ALL orders for birthday cakes/cupcakes MUST be ordered from Cramer’s Bakery, 16 E. Afton Avenue, Yardley. Cramer’s will deliver the order to the school at a discounted price.
