The Budowsphere
We are now preparing to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot, and the custom is to study Torah. There is no big Seder to prepare, there is no Sukkah to enjoy meals; it is a holiday for the study of Torah. As we say in our prayers each day, the greatest Mitzvah for a Jew is to study Torah, and that is what Shavuot is all about. With this in mind, I hope that the Abrams community will take the time to study Torah on behalf of our friend and former teacher, Yuval Miara. As you know, I have tried to create a support system for Yuval during his courageous battle with cancer. I have talked about his illness and his strength and determination in my Facebook postings and have done everything I could think of to help him with this struggle. The day school in Miami where he works dedicated the yearbook to him this year- he is beloved by everyone he has touched through the years. Yuval is now at a critical point in his battle, and I am asking you to take the time to pray for his recovery and study for him during this holiday of Shavuot when we celebrate the study of Torah.
