Class of 2025 Israel Trip

Our 8th graders set off on the trip of a lifetime to Israel, ready for adventure, learning, and unforgettable memories. From riding donkeys and making fresh pita in Kfar Kedem to exploring ancient ruins in Caesarea, each day offered hands-on experiences that brought history to life. They discovered Israel’s beauty, spirit, and stories with every stop, one joyful moment at a time.

The 8th-grade journey continued with joyful moments on the bus, where singing and dancing united everyone. Students explored the mystical city of Tzfat, known for its rich history, vibrant art, and spiritual energy. They also embarked on an exciting rafting adventure, strengthening friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

What a fantastic day exploring the beautiful Hula Valley and experiencing the warmth and culture of Druze hospitality! We wrapped up our adventure with an incredible visit to our partner school in Hadera, where we met the friends we’ve been learning alongside since the fall. So many wonderful memories were created throughout the day!

The day began in Hadera, where the students received a warm welcome at the school they had corresponded with since the beginning of the school year. After the visit, they traveled to Jerusalem. For many, it was their first time seeing the Kotel, and they also toured the Kotel tunnels. Each day brought more excitement and meaning!

A fascinating tour of the historic City of David set the tone for the day, as students walked along ancient pathways and explored the roots of Jerusalem.

Celebrating their graduation at the Kotel was a truly magical moment to remember forever.

A lively basketball game in Jerusalem kicked off the day, with the energy of the sport bringing everyone together. From there, we traveled to the historic Maarat Hamachpelah in Hebron, connecting with a place rich in heritage and spiritual significance.

Later, we experienced powerful moments of reflection at the site of the Nova Festival massacre and the memorial in Sderot, honoring the lives lost on October 7th. Each stop deepened our understanding and connection to Israel’s past and present.

We climbed the majestic cliffs of Masada, taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Finally, we indulged in a relaxing float in the surreal waters of the Dead Sea, where the experience of weightlessness was truly unforgettable.

Today’s journey started at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, where we reflected on past tragedies and the human spirit’s resilience.

We traveled to Mount Herzl, Israel’s national cemetery, where many of the nation’s founding figures—and heroes like American Lone Soldier Michael Levin—are laid to rest. The day concluded in the vibrant city of Tel Aviv, which is full of energy and life.

Prayers on the beach in Tel Aviv offered a peaceful and meaningful start to the day. We visited Hostage Square, followed by a powerful experience at the Para Sports Center, where we celebrated athletic achievement and the spirit of empowerment.

We left feeling inspired and deeply grateful for the experiences we’ve shared throughout our journey.

Our 8th-grade class had an unforgettable journey to Israel! From walking through the ancient streets of Jerusalem to floating in the Dead Sea, our students experienced firsthand the beauty, history, and spirit of the land they’ve studied all year.

Visiting the places they’ve learned about in school brought their lessons to life in the most powerful way, making connections that will stay with them forever.
